ESPEC North America builds dozens of walk-in chambers every year for top companies testing automotive, electronics, communications, aerospace, and other products. Drive-in chambers for automobiles are one of our top specialties. Stability walk-in rooms are another specialty, designed for light-duty testing or long-term steady-state evaluation of pharmaceuticals and other products. 

Panelized Chamber/Room:

• Our panelized walk-in chambers use urethane-foam panels that lock together with cam latches. This is the same construction used for walk-in coolers in restaurants and supermarkets, but of a higher quality. 
• The panels we use have a stainless steel interior skin to be stronger and impervious to extreme conditions. 
• The seams between panels are carefully sealed to protect from leaking that may affect performance or damage the panels. Doors and windows have embedded heaters, as well. 

Temperature and Humidity Control:

• ESPEC has standard air conditioning systems, called Modular Air Plenums (MAP). 
• These MAPs are designed with the proper heating, refrigeration, and humidity control to achieve your desired performance and capabilities. 
• The MAP simply rolls-up to an assembled panel chamber to complete installation. 

Easy-to-use Programmer:

• In addition, the P-300 Touch Screen Controller makes running an ESPEC environmental test chamber a breeze. 
• The full-color, touch-screen interface is remarkably easy to use and understand.
• The P-300 Touch Screen Controller can be managed remotely via our new Ethernet/LAN-based Web Controller, serial port, or GP-IB/LabView.

Product Details:

Environmental testing of automobiles requires additional consideration of the facility where the chamber will be installed, and its planned use. Test methods for vehicles can include additional conditions besides temperature and humidity in an attempt to simulate real-world conditions. 

Chassis Dynamometer or Four-post road simulator:

• ESPEC builds special floor interfaces to allow use of these additional types of equipment supplied by other vendors. 

Infrared Lighting:

• ESPEC builds infrared systems to create radiant surface heating of vehicles to look for deformation and other quality problems. 
• These systems can be adjusted vertically and angled to ensure even coverage.

Running vehicle:

• From cold-start to high-heat stress, a running engine is a common need, but complicated requirement fresh air must be conditioned and introduced to the chamber to make up for that used in combustion. 
• Also the exhaust must be safely removed from the chamber.

Product Details:

EWS chambers are solid, one-piece construction, using fiberglass insulation and an angle-iron frame. The stainless steel interior liner is reinforced and continuously welded, including leak-testing for integrity. Conventional chambers, like our EWP models, are built using panels with foam insulation that cannot withstand higher temperatures and are more susceptible to leaks at the seams under extreme conditions, such as fast temperature cycling. The angle-iron frame provides enough structural strength to allow a full-opening door for easy loading of large arrays without restriction. A full-opening door can also allow floor-space saving over panel chambers.

Product Details:

• Solid-construction chamber is a one-piece welded structure with six inches of fiberglass insulation and a 304 stainless steel interior
• Full-opening door(s) with heated windows
• One 4" (100mm) diameter cable port with silicone plug

Refrigeration and Plenum:

• Modular or Integrated Air Plenum with cooling coil, wire heaters, and two circulator blowers
• Non-CFC refrigeration system using Copeland Discus or Scroll compressors
• Automatic water regulator controls water usage on water cooled models
• Humidity system includes steam generator and dehumidification coil

System Controls:

• Instrumentation console mounted to the right of the chamber door
• Three levels of overheat protection including an independent, adjustable sensor
• ESPEC's Exclusive P-300 Programmer
