Among standardized heat aging tester, this is more suitable for rubber or plastic polymers with high content of transitive additives. Geer type Oven(no.272) is commonly used for aging test of organic material in heated air. However, testing different kinds of specimen in one chamber at a time might cause a transition of additives. This metal bath adopts “Test Tube method” standardized by ISO, ASTM, JIS, which uses test tubes as independent cells to keep similar kind of specimens. Test tubes is plugged by cork that has ventilation tubes and placed in heated metal bath. This method will minimize the additive migration between specimens.
